Add-a-Bathroom

The 900 Series, 900 Series (B), 1200 Series (H) and 1200 Series (B) come pre-assembled for ease of transporting. When they are dis-assembled they are in three (3) sections, a base and two separate sides, one side slightly wider than the other. All these three (3) sections are designed so they can fit through a standard 820mm wide x 2000mm high door opening. You will need to ensure that there is adequate room to swing each peice through the door openings as they are approx 2400mm long and 650mm wide.

The 1800 Series, 2400 Series and 2400 Bath Combo come pre-assembled for ease of transporting. When they are dis-assembled they are in two (2) sections a base and a top. These two (2) sections will not fit through a standard doorway. The minimum doorway width required is 1200mm wide x 2000mm high.

Flat Pack's

The 900 Series,1400 Series and 1900 Series Flat Pack's comes packed in a box for easy transporting. In each Flat Pack box there is 8 Pieces to be put together. For more information on the Flat Pack Series please see our the Flat Pack drop down menu in the floor plans section of the Add-a-Bathroom section.

DIY Installation

Some things you need to know and have to install yourself.

Things you need to know:

  • The size of the bathroom to be installed
  • Left or right hand installation
  • Adequate room to maneuver the bathroom into position
  • Position of your P.C items
  • Location of your existing services, i.e water, electrical and sewer points
  • Can the services be utilized to suit your bathroom

Things you need to have:

  • Two people, one to hold the pieces and one to bolt it together
  • Tools, you will need a caulking gun, vice grips (2 minimum), rags, construction gloves, drill and drill bits, 6ft ladder, small angle grinder with diamond blade, open end spanners or socket set, aluminium or timber straight edge, 5/16 hex head bit to remove pre-assembly screws
  • Adequate room to position the bathroom
  • 15mm Plywood glued to the back edge of the bathroom for your P.C items to be screwed into
  • Contractors, you must use qualified and licenced tradespeople for the installation, Sydney Bathroom Hire is not responsible for any DIY installations
  • Approval from Council if required (All external installations will require Council approval)
