Add-a-Bathroom

DIY Installation

Some things you need to know and have to install yourself.

Things you need to know:

  • The size of the bathroom to be installed
  • Left or right hand installation
  • Adequate room to maneuver the bathroom into position
  • Position of your P.C items
  • Location of your existing services, i.e water, electrical and sewer points
  • Can the services be utilized to suit your bathroom

Things you need to have:

  • Two people, one to hold the pieces and one to bolt it together
  • Tools, you will need a caulking gun, vice grips (2 minimum), rags, construction gloves, drill and drill bits, 6ft ladder, small angle grinder with diamond blade, open end spanners or socket set, aluminium or timber straight edge, 5/16 hex head bit to remove pre-assembly screws
  • Adequate room to position the bathroom
  • 15mm Plywood glued to the back edge of the bathroom for your P.C items to be screwed into
  • Contractors, you must use qualified and licenced tradespeople for the installation, Sydney Bathroom Hire is not responsible for any DIY installations
  • Approval from Council if required (All external installations may require Council approval)
